Wasson’s free kids’ events and workshops are designed to inspire creativity, curiosity, and a lifelong love for nature and the outdoors. Through hands-on activities like planting seeds, creating nature-based crafts, and learning about pollinators, children explore the natural world in fun, engaging, and educational ways. Together, you’ll design and craft a one-of-a-kind plant stake, perfect for adding personality to your indoor or outdoor pots. FLOWER POT WINDCHIME

In this FREE hands-on workshop, kids will decorate their very own flower pot and transform it into a charming windchime to take home and enjoy. Using colorful acrylic pens to create unique designs, each piece becomes a one-of-a-kind creation that adds personality and sound to your outdoor space. Our team will guide children step by step, making it easy and fun for all ages. It’s the perfect way to spark creativity, build confidence, and create something meaningful together.

BEADED PLANT

Join us at Wasson Garden Center in Fishers for our Free Kids’ Beaded Plant Workshop. Children will create their own colorful beaded plant in a small decorative pot, a fun keepsake to brighten their room or desk.
This hands-on workshop encourages creativity while introducing kids to nature-inspired design in a relaxed, welcoming environment. Due to the use of very small beads and materials that may present a choking hazard, this event is recommended for children ages 6–13.
