Our Outdoor Design-Build process follows six refined steps that take your vision from concept to completion. 1. SET INITIAL APPOINTMENT
Get started by reaching out to us to set up an appointment. This can be done online, in store or by phone. Once we have your information, you will be contacted by one of our Landscape Coordinators and they will set you up with a Landscape Designer. Now you are on your way to bringing your outdoor living space to life.This is when you get to meet your Landscape Designer! In this meeting, you share your vision with us. What are your goals? What do you want? Where do you want it? And how can we work together to feature your personal sense of style in your Better Backyard? We will also survey your property and determine any charges associated with creating your plan.
2. THE CONSULTATION

3. THE DESIGN PHASE
This is where your vision is expertly translated into a comprehensive landscape plan. Your Landscape Designer carefully develops the specifics of your project, presenting you with to-scale blueprints, itemized pricing, and supporting visuals such as detailed drawings or a 3D rendering of your outdoor living space. Every deliverable is thoughtfully prepared to reflect the unique character of your home and the elevated experience we strive to deliver.
4. FINAL COLLABERATION
With the design in hand, we move into a final, refined collaboration. During this stage, we review each component of your plan together—ensuring every detail aligns seamlessly with your expectations. This is your opportunity to provide final feedback or request adjustments before we transition into the build. It’s a moment of alignment and assurance, where your outdoor vision is fully realized on paper and prepared to come to life with precision.
5. THE BUILD PHASE
With plans finalized, our team breaks ground and begins bringing your landscape design to life. From the first day on site, every detail is executed with precision and care. Depending on the scope of your project, this phase may span several days, weeks, or months, all to deliver exceptional craftsmanship that endures.
6. ENJOY YOUR NEW SPACE
Your outdoor space is complete—welcome to your new favorite ‘room.’ Every element has been installed with care, precision, and lasting quality. As you begin to enjoy your space, know that Wasson offers ongoing Landscape Maintenance Services to keep it looking exceptional year-round. You’ll also continue to have access to our Garden Specialists at any of our Garden Centers for expert guidance and plant support whenever you need it.
